In 2019, Cate Ellink began posting a Daily Pocket of Joy to Facebook. It’s a photo, taken in nature, to bring joy.
Initially, it began as a response to the bushfires that burned across much of Australia. When Covid-19 hit, she continued it because some days joy and happiness were difficult emotions to find.
We wanted to try Daily Pockets of Joy as a subscription service, where a daily email containing a nature photo is sent to you, or someone you think could do with some nature-based joy.
As part of extending this joy, we’d like to contribute to a not-for-profit organisation – Smiling Mind. Their mission is to help young people thrive in life and they want to teach mindfulness and meditation to youth. I would love to have learned these techniques as a kid, so 50% of your subscription will be sent to Smiling Mind.
If you’d like to subscribe to this, for yourself or someone else, one day I’ll work out how to put the buttons on here to do that 🙂
